Ok guys, got a really strange issue that cropped up today after I had the dealer rotate and balance my wheels.

So prior to having this standard rotate/balance I had no service lights or abs issues. No more than 2 miles down the road after my rotation, I come to a stop light and the service traction control, service stability control and ABS lights come on. I drive about another 1/2 mile stop, cycle thru the info cluster and also notice the dealership failed to reset my tire locations...so I turn around and head back. Since i figure the dealer will take awhile I make a pit-stop to grab some food. The service lights went out once i restarted the truck, however they came back on just before I pulled into the service.

Service manager shakes his head about not resetting the codes, but is puzzled about the service lights.

Service tech pulls the truck back into the shop resets the tire locations, and pulls the codes. I'm told it's some sort of low voltage error which is causing the service lights and ABS problems; however since it's the weekend the dealer wasn't able to dig any deeper.

So, has anyone had this occur? How could a simple wheel rotation end up with service lights and ABS issues?

This evening I have driven the truck and noticed there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when the service lights appear, but sure as taxes the lights come on during short or longer drives.

Here are a few particulars about my truck:

2008 Yukon XL SLT
Momo 24" Wheels
Brakes where replaced all the way around two months ago
Mileage: 120,3xx
Dealer maintained truck

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Marshall

Sounds like a possible wheel speed sensor going bad to me. Not for sure but you have to buy the whole hub assembly to get it most the time. Dealer will be able to put the scanner on it to see which wheel has a code stored. Of corse they will want a diag fee. Not sure if auto zone or somewhere has a good enough scanner to read those kind of codes.

Had the same issue after installing new tires...

But mine was after about 1000 miles... and only happens when I come to a stop. And has onlybhappened about 4 times now....

I'm likeing the low voltage thing! Just before my trip I ran the Battery dead, so...

Hey, I found a service bulletin and wonder if anyone has any intel to support this being directly related.

I have not been able to see a root cause or solution in this bulletin. Has anyone else seen this bulletin?
