I have a 2009 Yukon xl slt. It doesn't have the nav screen. Just the regular one. I bought the truck and since I owned the screen won't brighten. You can use the dim knob and everything brightens but the screen. Is this fixable or. Do I have to buy a new one? You can barely read the screen.
Thanks

Yes but go into your DIC to see if there’s an option there. Your owners manual has instructions also wipe off the sensor on your dash the truck may think it’s dark outside.

See if there's an option within the radio's menu; the nav units have that feature independent of the dimmer switch. Might be time to replace the radio but I would ask a shop first that specializes in such before spending money.
