2009 Yukon Rides like crap! Help!!!!

Hey guys,
I have a 2009 GMC Yukon SLT. It is a family car but I do tow my race car with it. Race car and trailer with gear total approx 6,000pds. I only tow about 6x per year. My main concern is general ride quality. Truck has 83k on it. When I first got it it rode awesome loved the rider for about the first 40k miles. I replaced shocks with OEM replacements (dont want to mention brand), rode so much better at first but 5k miles later back to crappy ride. What are your suggestions to improve ride quality.

Why won't you mention the brand name?

I mean who here works for any shock company?

Better to go with ACDELCO always IMO

Thank you. But what about bushings, endlinks, strts springs?

Just dont like to bad mouth manufacturers but guess not badmouthing They are monroe

This is just anecdotal, but I'm not a fan of Monroe shocks. I had them on my old Dakota for about 5000 miles, and the stiff ride drove me crazy. I replaced them with KYB shocks, much better.

Are you talking about the front or rear or altogether? Does your SLT have automatic leveling in the back with air shocks? I pull my boat a couple times a year. The tongue weight is only 300 pounds but the boat weighs 4000. With all the customizing we all do it's easy to go away from stock equipment. How many miles are on your SLT?

Hard to believe that the newer shocks you installed would start out fine and then degrade so quickly.

I'd suggest that you look into your bushings and end-links to see if they are bad.
