I saw this - so the lifters are actually different pre 2007 and post 2007?

local GMC dealer said it was either lifters or camshaft. anyways it is at least a $3300 job for the lifters.
**EDIT: it is definitely a lifter problem, and it can be broken camshaft if a lifter broke off.

***UPDATE::: 5/1/17
**15 MONTHS LATER, the same truck, while driving, gives a stabilitrac warning. Soon after, the same knocking happens and the SES turns on. P0306, cylinder #6 misfire. checked the coils, plugs, swapped them and that wasn't the issue. their appears no intake leak. Anyone else have repeated lifter problems? Here is a clip of the knocking. very similar to the knocking 15 months ago.
