Hey everyone! Just bought a 2010 Yukon Denali AWD a couple weeks back, and after poking around I found this awesome forum. After doing a bit of searching, I can't really find what I'm looking for. Can someone explain what torque management is? I'm curious because when I get on the throttle hard(not wide open, just aggressive) it seems to slip between either 1-2 or 2-3. I've only done it twice and wasn't expecting it so I'm unsure between which gears exactly. I'm apprehensive about trying to duplicate it on purpose in fear of causing more damage. Is this part of torque management?
I took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. It has 98k, so I had them drop the pan and change the trans fluid and filter, and other 100k maintenance. I'm really worried about it because the 100k warranty will be up sooner rather than later. I'm not against paying to have it fixed, but I would rather have GM cover as much as possible and I can chip in for anything not covered. Thanks in advance for your help!
