I have a 2011 Tahoe LT 4x4. There is 13000 miles on the SUV. I have a loud rattle that starts around 40 mph and up. It happens more so when u let off the gas and coast. It sounds like it is coming from underneath the rear of the vehicle. It sounds like something hard hitting metal. The dealership thought it might be the bumper or rear wildshiled wiper but after they put in buffers it still is doing it. Any help would be great. You can hear it over the radio and it is annoying. Thanks

Possibly an unseated pipe to pipe mid-joint connection on the exhaust? This is just a suggestion, not a diagnosis. Have you contacted the dealer to make them aware that the noise is still occurring?

Please keep us posted.

Bumper noise

I took my 2011 tahoe in for the same noise and the dealer put spray foam in the bumper both front and rear to fix the problem. That seemed to work for about a month but now it's doing it again. I really don't want to take it in just to have them put more spray foam (temp solution). Any help would be appreciated.

Might check to see if you've had the tranny dipstick tube recall performed.

That was when I had them look at it was to take it in for a recall for the dipstick. The problem is in the rear end. It sounds like the bumper is going to fall off.
