2011 Tahoe/Best dash cam for Chevy Tahoe

Have realistic expectations in the app for a (now sub $100) inexpensive camera, but for me it was good enough. If I really need to tinker with videos on the SD card, I just take the card itself out and use a laptop. 1 other thing with the Tahoe being always on with regards to the 12V outlets, I added an ignition switched relay to change that. Dash cams are weird in that there are cheap ones that "work" (but the app/UI is unusably bad) or expensive ones ($500+) that work much better. I was looking for the sweet spot (4K front, app not absolutely terrible, but cheap enough that I can replace it if needed). I went through a few different ones and landed eventually on 3 of these. I have them in 3 cars and 2 other family members cars, good insurance, but you'll need the extension cable to reach the rear windshield.

I’ll wait until I get the camera to see what accessories I need. Looks like I need a camera extension like you stated as well as a power feed because I don’t want to use a cig lighter for it. Already have a mirror tap for a radar detector will have to do something else….
