+1. Also, if you installed the Dorman compressor, it does not switch on for a test cycle every time you turn the ignition on like the original pump does. The only way to test the Dorman pump is to add weight to the backend so that it switches on. It also won’t switch on with the Tech2 scanner like the original will.

Tech2 is the dealer tool. I love mine and they can be had on eBay for $300 or so.

Tech 2 is the dealer tool. Lots of China knockoffs. Just do the research to find a good reseller.

Otherwise you might have good luck with a Bluetooth reader like BlueDriver. It’s about $100 on Amazon. And while you don’t get full diagnostics you can read codes from different modules in the vehicle.

I think there is probably one company making the clone Tech 2's in China. There are any number of resellers. Alibaba.com has a little better prices than eBay. If things go wrong for some reason, you may have a little more recourse with eBay.
