Hi guys I have a 2014 PPV that ran and drove great until leaving lunch, pulled out of a drive way and it’s like the truck popped into neutral. It revs up but doesn’t move. Sat and slowly revd up and it did drive forward when on flat ground but wouldnt go up the slight hill back into the parking lot. Put it into reverse and it reversed like it should. No grinding or any noise out of the ordinary.

Trans never gave any hiccups or signs of going out. Fluid levels good and color is good . No metal or anything in it. Had to limp the car home ( I know not the best idea) but had to and the truck drove slowly until it threw a code and shifted into second and drove fine on flat side streets to get home

What’s do I check or is the trans done?

Pics of the truck, please.

Like @Doubeleive said, scan the vehicle for DTCs, particularly those associated with the transmission (for a full list of those, check out the ATSG manual link in my 6L80 Information thread - link is in my signature line).

Intermittent no movement can be failing TEHCM (clutch pressure control solenoid), #1 check ball sticking in the plate or wearing to the extent it's migrating out of it's location in the valve body, torque converter (TC stator), failing 1-2-3-4 clutch, failing rear sprag...There may be more but those are the most common direct causes of no movement conditions. These are some of the symptoms the transmission will present when it's starting to go out.

I'd prepare to either overhaul your existing unit or purchase a GM Remanufactured transmission (3 yr/100k mile warranty).

How many miles are on the transmission?
