Funny you mention that... I was just thinking about that earlier tonight.

My next mod is the tow hooks. The lower fascia with the holes is finally "supposed" to be in tomorrow. If so, I'm going to get that done ASAP and then maybe I'll move onto the door handles next.

Let me know. I'll give them to you at my cost just to be the guinea pig.

So I've installed version 2.0 of this.

I never was thrilled with the initial install. The running board is not flat across the bottom, therefore, the led strip wasn't able to completely fasten to the bottom of the plastic 100% as I would have liked.

I went to Lowes and in the plexiglass cutting section, they carry these plastic trim pieces made to be used with window screens. I purchased two of them.

I pulled the sticky tape that came on the LED strips off and tossed it (would never hold up to the elements under the vehicle) and I used a professional strength 2 part 3M epoxy to epoxy the lights to the plastic "housing".

I then cut the housing to length, and screwed it (using 1/2" self tappers) to the bottom of the running boards. MUCH better and cleaner install. Not to mention the plastic piece serves as a guide and I now have a 100% straight strip of leds. Before if you parked on a puddle or on my painted garage floor, you could see the reflection with a slight hint of waviness in the lights.

I'll see if I cant round up the diagram.

It's to the BCM which is right above the emergency brake lever. I described the pin (I believe) in one of the first few posts of this thread.

nice work sir!

Are you ready to to the LED illuminate door handle mod from the Escalades?

let me know... I'm wanting someone to try and get it done!

Yeti, I'm wanting to do the door handle mod also. Can you PM me the price of those? Thank you.

BTW - I'm 100% sure the door handle mod is possible.

The front doors would be easy - just tap into the puddle light wiring which is already in the door.

The rear doors would require some studying to see if anything from that circuit is already in the door. I doubt it. The hardest part would be fishing 1 wire (power/trigger wire) through the harness that goes into the door. Those things are a pita to work with.

The next roadblock would be color matching the door handles, at least in my case. The Escalade handles dont come in Summit White. I have yet to see an illuminated handle in person - so I dont know if the body color trim could be swapped out or not.

The hardest part of the deal to source will be the pigtails that plug into the door handles to provide power.
