The 8 spd will provide better acceleration. It may also provide better hwy mileage, not just because there could be taller gearing but GM will have just one pump operating on the 8spd. Corvette tranny instead of two at cruise. Whether or not they can do this with heavier SUVs,I don't know.

I don't see what the big deal is to get a 8 speed. More and likely it will have some issues in the first year. Also, if it hunts as bad as the current 6 speed...............

I guess resale value isn't important to you at all....

No not really. You get ***** when you buy and then again when you sell.

I have bought and sold A lot vehicles over the last 9 years.

One thing that does sell always is a clean vehicle. Detailed paint and a clean interiors sell faster.

Also....... everyone want tasteful mods and nice floormats etc....... but when selling Mods have almost zero value.
