Got in the Tahoe early this morning and the front lights both went nuts... guess I need to get something asap. Any thoughts on the other overhead consoles is greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone knows of anything else that could be wrong aside from the front lights, I'm open to all ideas.

Why not just get the 2 modules like everybody says fixes the issue and swap them in?

I updated my post above. A complete overhead console is slightly cheaper or close to the price of the modules from the dealer. Plus, someone must have broke mine as it doesn't fit flush anymore, it hangs down in the back (small gap closest to sunroof).

Update - still happening although now it is all 3 rows of the interior lights when depressing brake pedal. They also flash when activating the left turn signal. Just got it back from dealer and GM still has no fix and we were told to deal with it.

GM Engineers say it is related to a programming issue. I would think there would be more people complaining if that was the case. Is anyone else experiencing this and I missed it?
So... You ever see that show on TV named "Cash Cab"? Same lighting effects, but it's a mini-van.

I replaced the complete overhead console with a BRAND NEW $30.00 OEM unit from eBay. These must have been damaged units from the assembly line because they are packaged like a factory piece. Everything swaps over...except the sunroof wiring and switch is different (no biggie...I have future plans for the second hole). In the short term, I'm just swapping over the leds/modules. All other switches etc are the exact same. Mirror/sunglasses holder is nicer on the newer model. Note the large gray plug on the left of the new unit, it appears to run the two switch sunroof, the other model just has a small harness that fishes down to the switch. I plan to swap the old switch into the new console and add a second switch for auxillary lights. I just need to find another switch that matches.

Red/Black wire LED modules are the newer units.4bbf9106910b5605117426f60e16de36.jpg5848f4077e06a7b786379baef6bdbe6f.jpg0c1e3a79bd73365cf2de09e7fff5a679.jpg3d092c5185da9bb1620190647072525f.jpge496fd9d9b6bb1b3291e8337fa17c8d0.jpg489369afb863a60aad8d10a0dffca991.jpgb2b65429b21e63bc31bcf555e90385ea.jpg23e0b2751d614bd27d7bcc0bdf9afc7c.jpg965e1c2f45f1269d1d3de80f2576eb4c.jpgc59b557ea3682e3798e2f95150a67042.jpg

Just realized my sunroof is NOT an OEM one. I guess it's a Webasto 1597-wa-0100a. I figured that out after the touchless carwash blew some water through the antenna gasket...or possibly sunroof gasket...

That would explain why I couldn't find a single overhead console with a switch like mine above!

BTW-That gap on the back of your shark fin antenna is factory. The actual seal is made under the antenna where the clamp bolt is at.upload_2020-11-1_14-27-7.jpeg

Never had a leak before. Wondering if the automatic carwash just hit it at the right angle to cause it. I'm assuming whoever installed the sunroof also did the drop down dvd. It is aftermarket as well.

I love this forum. I just picked up a 2015 and noticed the disco lights last night. I didn’t see where until tonight, as I was only catching it in my peripheral vision. I also noticed they didn’t do it while sitting in the driveway a few minutes idling.

The lights in my wife’s ‘17 were only working intermittently (1/100 maybe) so I have new modules a shot. No luck, they only flash three times when I start the truck. Any ideas?
