Haven't taken delivery of my 2018 Z71 yet, but noticed that the top of the steering wheel is really wrinkled. Is this just a cosmetic issue or is there a risk with it cracking? Is there anything that the dealer could do for this without making it worse? Just curious.

That looks weird. Compare it to others on the lot. If it’s different get it dealt with

I wouldn't worry about it cracking, but obviously it bothers you enough that posting about it.
(and you're right, for the money it should be the way you want it)

You haven't taken delivery yet which still gives you more leverage. Unless everyone in there is like that tell them you want it corrected. And I would do it before taking delivery, don't get talked in to "we'll fix it later"

It's amazing how much less they can care about your issue after you leave, and how much quicker things can get fixed and parts get found when they are trying to get that thing off the lot and delivered.

Thanks guys...good point. I won't get talked into a "we can fix it later". It's not horrible, but my wife noticed it right away. It's as if the leather (or whatever it is) is pulled too tight in a spot.

Def like posted above, compare to others on lot. They can swap that steering wheel with a good one in about 15 min...right from the lot...

Be prepared to wait......it took 4 weeks to get mine. 2017 SLT Premium Edition. Had a hole in it from the factory.
