yes, the harness is tucked up under the dash near the bcm and usually there is a couple wires stashed under the hood that connector to a terminal on the fuse box, one is for the brake power and the other is for trailer power.

So on my 2018 it should just be a plug n play?

Go to etrailer.com, enter your vehicle info, and see the options. They have specific pigtails and connections for certain vehicles.
