Hello All.
So, just this past week I noticed when I pressed the temperature display on the center infotainment screen, it no longer would display The Weather Channel App.
At First I thought the screen was not working, but that didn't resolve the issue. I went into the APPS section in the system, and noticed that the Weather Channel app
was no longer available, and was no longer installed.
I called Onstar from the truck to see what was going on, and the support person told me the following.
"The Weather Channel has decided no to offer the app any longer, as they decide (TWC) to no longer support this infotainment system with GM".
I asked what about an alternative, since I for one found its Radar screen very helpful in poor weather. She said that apparently Onstar is looking into a replacement, but no idea when or if.
In addition I complained that I did not receive any notification that this service was being continued and is one of the reasons I have continued to pay for the service.
Anyone else notice this? Any answers to a replacement?
