Same, had the update, no issues sinceI haven't had any issue with mine since it had the update done. Auto start has worked great since! It's a must for us out here in Phoenix when temps hit 118°!

Is there any way to tell if you are on the current version? I took my 2022 Tahoe RST in for its first oil change and asked them to take care of this issue. They said I didn't need an update and the remote start was not creating any error codes. Any one else experience this at the dealership?
Unfortunately, I am still afraid to use remote start.
2022 GMC Yukon XL Denali won't start after trying auto start!Sorry to hear it. Hopefully your dealer has a lead on a fix. Picking mine back up tomorrow but won’t risk using the remote start until they have a permanent fix.
Also just wanted to say that prior to going to Wendy’s I had remote started the vehicle and It was fine. Im not sure if the auto stop had something to do with it plus being initially remote started. This happened to me the same Day I drove my vehicle home from the deal back in July. We told them it was a BCM issue and they brushed it off saying it wasn’t and that there was no issue with the vehicle. Fast forward to yesterd (9/9/22), parked at a Wendy’s drive thru with the car still on, paid for my stuff and shifted to D, and issue with the shifting system came up, and it automatically put the car in neutral. Couldn’t shift it back to Drive so I put it in park and turned the vehicle off To see if it would reset. Nope. Car does not start but all the dash lights come up And everything. So embarrassing to be stuck cutting off drive thru traffic. I then get an email from onstar stating there’s an engine transmission issue and to service the car in one day. Of course the tow truck doesn’t come until after the closest dealership is closed.
Was told today when I called the dealership for an update that they’re backed up and their engine technician (one one) doesn’t work Saturdays. Says ill
get a call Monday of when they can even look at it but it won’t be for at least another 4-5 days after that.
Yes this is exactly what’s been happening. Just happened again. I’m so done with Chevy. This is the third time, the dealership told me they updated the bcm obvi not if it’s happened after the factI’m not sure you are describing the same issue the TSB in question described. That issue was:
1) remote start the vehicle
2) Enter the vehicle with your fob in possession
3) Put foot on brake
4) Hit start button
5) Engine goes off
6) Engine cannot be restarted (waiting 30 min or disconnect/reconnect battery solved it)
A BCM software update fixed this problem.
