just mpg if you take care of it, driving it sporty means you should follow a extreme duty maintenance schedule, it will show (or should show) the maintenance tables in your owners manual, things like brake pads and tires may wear out sooner.any thoughts on whether using sport regularly can hurt long term engine reliability?
The programming changes in sport mode seem really mild to me. Can’t imagine the drive mode itself having any impact on engine reliability.any thoughts on whether using sport regularly can hurt long term engine reliability?
gm has locked the software down and will not share it with aftermarket, so unless someone cracks the code then only way it would get done is with a delay and a micro switchAnyone ever figure out how to default to a different than normal mode? #SportMode
I have the auto start/stop eliminator...doesn't retain Sport Mode.Just found out that the auto stop/start eliminator retains the settings for not only auto stop/start, but also all other setting in that cluster of settings (lane assist, rear power switch, etc).
Wondering if a similar switch can be made to retain the sport mode setting as well.
theoretically it could be done with a mircoswitch, it would have to be a custom job though. a microswitch could be made to activate the button x amount of times each time the vehicle is started, so instead of you having to press the button the switch does it automaticallyJust found out that the auto stop/start eliminator retains the settings for not only auto stop/start, but also all other setting in that cluster of settings (lane assist, rear power switch, etc).
