2023 orders open?

I'm not sure what's going on....but I don't see the same Onstar requirements for my Suburban as I did for my Yukon XL in the Order Guide. Also, the Build and Price of my Suburban still shows the same price from last week but the Yukon XL is $1500 more.

I sure hope they are not making that Onstar requirement for the Yukon line and not the Suburban.....If so I'll probably have to go that route even though my wife prefers the Yukon grill.

I'm hoping things are still getting flushed out....

A few minutes ago my dealer contact texted and said she's rebuilding my order (Yukon XL SLE w/ Duramax) as a 2023 and will e-mail the GM Workbench order form with the new pricing. I guess we'll see if that R9M code is added to my order... I really like the look of the Yukon compared to the Suburban and when we built our 2022 order it was only ~$1500 more for the SLE vs LS trim. The Yukon gets the digital dash, larger infotainment and a few other things that made that price difference easier to justify but if we start talking about a $3K or more price difference, then we will likely go the Suburban route.

UPDATE: I just placed an order for a 2023 Suburban LT and the dealer didn't know anything about a requirement to add OnStar. The price was basically the same as 2022 but I added the new black grille (RZB) which is an $850 option. I'm hoping to see some pictures of it before I have to commit. So the mystery remains..is the Yukon XL really going up $1500 (SLT model) because of an OnStar requirement but the Suburban is not? As it is there is a $3K price difference between my LT and SLT configs and that is including the new black grille.

My Chevy dealer sent me a 2023 Tahoe work bench build with a real 6 digit number on 06/13. I think it may be open already.

I'm waiting for a callback from my dealer contact on the order books. As soon as I know for sure, I'll post here.

Well, just got my callback: Currently, 6.2L and RPO code "RGK," which is "Premium Package 2" are currently not available in the orderbook. Also to note, SuperCruise is not yet an option available for selection in the order book.

The inventory manager said to remain patient as they'll likely have more info next week, as well as the possibility of knowing what other RPOs are open then.

I received my GM Workbench order form from my dealer for a 2023 Yukon XL. It has the 3-year OnStar package checked and my dealer said it can not be removed. She said that as of June 1st, all GMC vehicles with the Google infotainment system require that package. Sure enough when I went to GMC.com and built a 2022 Yukon XL, that option is checked and can't be removed. Same for the 2022 Sierra 1500. It appears this is only a GMC requirement and not tied to the 2023 MY or just the Yukon.
