I saw a picture (dealer image) of a closeup of the bowtie and it was illuminated. Either the edge/border or it was backlit. I've seen this on newer vehicles, mainly Mercedes. Is it possible to have this turned off or does it get power from the headlights/DRLs/etc?

There's no switch for them. If you wanted it off, then you'd have to disconnect the wiring.

Is this on all 2025 Tahoe trims?
What, illuminated grille emblems? Don’t know. An illuminated GMC logo didn’t come with my ‘23 Denali, but I bought one after the fact and had it installed.

Maybe it was available as an accessory.

It was a dealer installed accessory. They are hard to find. I put one on my wife's 2017 Camaro SS. I am going to find one for my 2021 Suburban.

They are not hard to find, you can order them from Chevrolet.com, hit parts and accessories, enter your vehicle details, you are presented w/ the option to purchase. $495 plus install. P/N 87869425

Personally, I don't want it. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a feature on certain models. After more searching and from some helpful posts, here, it's an accessory.

I believe it was available in some of the higher trim levels. But GM had problems with water intrusion so it was pulled and they are planning on re-releasing them soon with hopefully a fix for the water intrusion.

I think it can also be purchased as dealer accessory from the parts dept. They have at least a black and red version as I recall. I think the black version comes with a black replacement rear emblem as well.

Here is an example for a 2024 Yukon, they are current on sale for a few more days from this dealer. They have other versions as well.

When I first bought my 21 Suburban last May, there was no stock available for the lighted black bow tie. There were a couple of gold ones around. It changed part numbers a couple of times. I will have to check the current number and see how available they are.
