I don't work for them. But my search shows that the 2021+ use the same factory reverse bulb as the 2015-2020.
Yes, you are correct. It's the same bulb number.
BUT, on the 2021-2023, GM is using a different chip for the voltage regulator on the tail lights.
Since an LED uses LESS power (5V) than an incandescent bulb (12V), the trucks voltage regulator identifies that the the tail light is using an LED (lower voltage) and gives an error on the dash to "Check you bulb" because it thinks the incandescent bulb may be burned out at 5V.
Therefore....only on the 21-23...if you use an LED, even LASFIT, you get an error on the dash.
The only way to remedy this is by using a resistor connected inline to the bulb that increases the voltage to 12V to make the truck "think" it's an incandescent bulb.
What everyone is looking for is an LED bulb that already puts out 12Vs or has a resistor built in to to avoid the dash board error.
