Thanks. I'll reach out to Lasfit and see if these are error free. The 21-23s typically require a resistor which Lasfit says they don't do, but maybe I'm wrong.
That seller offers free 30 day returns. The seller pays for return shipping regardless of the reason you return too.

It's hard to believe that no compu, not even LASFIT, has made a reverse LED bulb with a built in resistor.

Who ever does this will make a ton of money. Crazy it's been 3 years in this model and no one has tried.

Have you tried the Lasfit bulbs? My 2019 doesn't give me any errors and they've been in there for 2 years now.

Blaine,

2019 is a different vehicle.

2021,2022,2023's tail light have a different voltage output.

car_l0st, in post 22 stated they used the Lasfit bulbs and they gave the dash voltage error.

If you work for LASFIT, or know someone there, please let us know. We'd appreciate it if they can make a 921 bulb with a built in resistor.

I don't work for them. But my search shows that the 2021+ use the same factory reverse bulb as the 2015-2020.

Yes, you are correct. It's the same bulb number.

BUT, on the 2021-2023, GM is using a different chip for the voltage regulator on the tail lights.

Since an LED uses LESS power (5V) than an incandescent bulb (12V), the trucks voltage regulator identifies that the the tail light is using an LED (lower voltage) and gives an error on the dash to "Check you bulb" because it thinks the incandescent bulb may be burned out at 5V.

Therefore....only on the 21-23...if you use an LED, even LASFIT, you get an error on the dash.

The only way to remedy this is by using a resistor connected inline to the bulb that increases the voltage to 12V to make the truck "think" it's an incandescent bulb.

What everyone is looking for is an LED bulb that already puts out 12Vs or has a resistor built in to to avoid the dash board error.

A little cheaper on eBay.

You might have to customize the harness by cutting off their bulb sockets and re-using the OEM Chevrolet bulb sockets in their place. An easy project for someone skilled with soldering electronics though.

I personally would NOT trust their bulb plugs and sockets by the looks of them though, but if the resistor box is all you need, it's easy enough to wire in-line with your Chevrolet factory reverse light circuitry.
