26's & balljoints....

when running 26's you will run through ball joints. I am currently replacing my ball joints at Network alignment, but I definitly think its worth the cost.

I doubt its the 6s, can almost guarantee its the McGaughys kit causing it. Very commom issue with that kit over at GM FFull Size.

BTW what has happende most likely is the McG coils sagged out below the 2" they are suppose to be like they normally do causing exxcessive wear on the BJ. Also one of the front BJs can't be pressed out, meaning you need a whole new UCA, think its the drivers side that has that issue.

bad balljoint angles thats whats killing it. Ive been seeing this with drop springs. one reason i like the djm arms also just dont need to deal with it on the 07 up trucks.

Well I think its mainly the springs sagging causing bad angles. Most drop springs shold not cause that.
Also kickandholdit the BJ aren't even greasable with a grease gun IIRC.

The Ball Joints dont have Grease Fittings. I chose the McGaughy's Lowering componants because they are the only lowering componants that GM will allow without voiding warranty. I checked this with my local GM dealer as well as their Regional Rep. My Yukon has 40k miles, so I am not too upset about replacing the BJ's.

Yes they do have a DJM kit Syndicate, I have there rear 4" kit and its lower than the 5" kit on from the McG
BTW the only thing spindles can void in a suspension are the ball joints, UCA, LCA, strut and tie end rod.
The Belltech kit does not void these either, my bro had it on his Esky with 0 problems.
BTW did you have to get a new Upper control arm?

Balljoints wear out on even late model daily driver vehicles, most just don't know it because they don't take the knuckle off and check.

well with my McGaughy's kit, I am sitting 3/4 " off my bumpstops in the rear. I want to change my upper and lower control arms, but I think if I am going to go to that expense, I am just going to bag the whole truck. All I am waiting for now is the new daily driver so I can park the Yukon. The only way I noticed I needed new ball joints was because i had the front end apart cleaning for a show. Really they were just sloppy, I could have let it go a little longer, but I don't want to risk damaging the truck.

I have 47k on my 07 with no problems, with 15k of those beoing on my 26's. I'm lowered more than 3" in the front
