Shoot, I would have sold you our TBSS intake. Lots of guys were getting them a while ago. Honestly, I don't think they are worth the hype. If I am pulling an intake manifold, it is to go FI IMO.

6.0 goodness. Think of this as a budget build and when finished should give us 330hp/360tq to the wheels maybe???? Just a guess but either way i will have a better platform to build off of and only have about $1k tied up in it after I sell my motor/trans. I should be happy with that for a short while.

FI would be cool and all but my pockets are not that deep. :-/

UPDATE....
So the LQ4 6.0 motor went in with all the TBSS stuff installed, the X-link so the 90mm TB would work and a TOTALLY custom 1-0ff (because we beat the crap out of them in a few spots to make them fit) set of 1 7/8 Cal-Speed headers and I'm currently waiting on UPS to deliver my PCM from Nelson. We did a minor tune up and drove it the .3 miles to its current resting spot. Hopefully tonight it will be code free and running like Carl Lewis...at least until the transmission gives out :emotions122:

One day it will find its way to a dyno so we can see what we have done.

That is all for now, hope everyone is doing well.

So it runs strong but I'm getting an SES that says the Cam Position Sensor has a high voltage reading. Can this be coded around or do I need to swap the sensor out with the 5.3 one?

Initial run from a light, let up around 60, the inital thud is a box in the back of the truck.

Thanks John :Handshake:
Its airquote.gif tuned....ish from Nelson Performance out of TX but I'm definitely going to find a local dyno soon to make sure the AF is stable. I'm not completely concerned with eeking out every last bit of power. I guess as long as its safe and reliable I will be happy. I'm pretty stoked as it sits, it feels faster :D

what all is that at the moment?? is headers and a better flowing exhaust and intake included?

side note.. buddy had a similar goal and set up.. but he went from a silverado 4.3 up to a 6.0 and 4l80. ported polished, flowed, and valved heads, cam, intake, headers, exhaust, TBSS manifold and TB, a EFi live custom tune.. injectors, and he dynode 2wd at 380 RWhp on 93 gas... now i dont know the cam specs other than a local guy turned it custom for him.. and dont remember what model heads were flowed and valve sizes he went up to.. but he is a very similar motor setup to you..... and no his truck is not faster than the 4.3 lmfao.......it is crazy fast compared to the baby 4.3

ill be watching your updates...

Was he no faster because he just sat there and spun? haha that musta been one hell of a 4.3 :D

I updated my sig to reflect what we did, I'm still rocking the garbage can stock exhaust after the ORY....for the moment.

I am currently seeking SnapOn Tec2 scan tool and someone who knows how to use it :emotions122:

i was joking about the 4.3.. it was slow as crap..... the truck has spring traction bars that help... maybe i should have put an lol or something...

have you thought of just buying EFI live instead of a $1,000 snap on scanner..?
