4" Suspension Lifts for 2011 Tahoe

I'm new to the tahoe family and was wondering if ya'll can help me decide on a lift for the new tahoe. The mechanic in my area installs BDS 4" Lifts or Rancho Lifts. I was wondering which one is a good lift and a rough price to install.

Hey man I am new to this forum too and I am also looking to lift my Hoe and I have done some hefty research. What I found all depends on what your looking to do. First how much do you want to spend? What are your specs, 4x4, autoride, engine size? Also what tires are you looking to run? Rancho makes a great quick lift and 4 inch lift. Right now Rancho is doing a 500 dollar rebate promo. I personally am thinking of doing a pro comp 6 inch with 35 inch tires running me 5,000k but I had to shop around garages to find that deal some of the chain offside stores will rip you off for an extra 1k to 2k. Let me know man. I would stay away from a body lift unless your going to throw a suspension lift on also. Does that help? Let me know your specs.

My specs are a 4X4 Z71 package on a 2011 Tahoe, no override. I was looking a the 4" suspension with BDS Brand with 33's (285/60/18's). I never mentioned body lift, i agree i would not put that on my truck.

Well a 4 inch lift should allow for 33's without rubbing, if so it would be very minor trimming. I can't remember if Rancho came out with the lift for the new 2011. If you go to ranchos website it will show you what it looks like and tire fit. Post some pictures of before and after! Should look sweet! Any other planned mods?

i have a 2007 yukon slt 4x4 and I put a ccm leveling kit-2.5 in the front 1 inch spacer in the back (http://www.ccmoffroad.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=38) and i have 33 inch bfg TA/ko 285/70/17s and it has no rubbing except when flexed and turned a lot, so if you gonna spend $2k on a suspension lift then just get a 6 inch and put 35s on it

I agree with the advice on the 6" lift. I was originally gonna do a leveling kit then thought a 4 inch but you can get a 6 inch for about 1900. Where are u at in the country? I got a guy who is gonna do mine next week - 6 inch pro comp on 20in XD Rockstars black with Nitto 35x12.50's all installed and warranty for 5k. The leveling kit with a 33in tire set up would have cost me 2600. Go big or go home.

for the price difference go with a 6". i recently lifted mine with BDS 6" after sometime of thinking 4". i think it was a $50 difference so i did the 6". 35's might rub a little unless they stick out far enough. but i have seen them 6" with 33's and looks good!

and the reason i say go 6" cause everyone i know with 4" now wishes they had gone 6" (even though if you go 4" can always add keys and spacers later to get the 6") but over all it would be more expensive to take that route
