When mine goes there is a local place that will build it up for me. However he did tell me once that he would never sell me a tranny ever again after my S-10 blew up one he said would never break.

Why not convert to the 4l80e, have some piece of mind, do it right do it once. FLT makes great trannies for our vehicles. I understand that $$$ is watched these days, but DR. NIX for a Performance tranny? If anything bring it to someone who builds "race" trannies. I see the DR.'s over there just rebuilding stuff with cheap parts good enough for the DD not for the TQ.

Theres a few of us from the Island...

post some pics up!

They couldn't even build one for daily driving. This was before I had the 383. Never even towed or beat on their POS rebuilt. I wouldn't even consider buying a tranny on LI anymore. IMO they all suck!

I have had no luck with their crap at all on my street only driven 97 camaro. I am on number 3 now. But they have made somewhat good on the fact that they haven't lasted worth a crap. only cost me 400 last time.

I know it's a little late... been working my ass off during the holidays. I've been doing a lot of research and have been reading a lot of bad reviews about Monster Transmissions lately. I had originally heard nothing but good things, but I've read they got into the habit of cutting corners lately, which doesn't really fly with me. May just end up going the route of Phone Man and order from PATC (transmissioncenter.net). Its a little more money, but I guess you get what you pay for. Hopefully I can do that soon, because I don't think my transmission has much life left.
