tahoes and yukons have same mounting, all brackets are bolted to floor. suburban/yukon xl the front brackets are built into the floor. whichever you pull brackets from you will need seat from same truck.

Thanks for all the replies! I absolutely agree with safety first. Thats why I am getting a donor floor to work from, and not just rigging something up.

I have an extra 3rd row that I was going to put in my 61, but never did. How do I tell if its from a Tahoe or Suburban? I will get pics....

I just realized that I should take this extra seat I have and see if it will clip into my XL, then I know what I need.....

As far as the floor and seat mounts being the same, the longer SUVs (Burban, Yukon XL, Escalade ESV) all have the same third row seat mounts made into the floor. The Tahoes and Yukons have a slightly different setup, like someone mentioned they have mounts bolted to the floor and have a split bench instead of a solid third row seat like the Burban and Yukon XL has.
Personally, I would try and see if you could get a split third row seat from a Tahoe and get the mounts and see if you can fabricate something to get it mounted. The good thing about having the split seat is the fact that you can put just one side of the seat in if you want to. That would come in handy if you need just one more seat, but also still need a bit of cargo room to put groceries or something.

Scotty boy, I agree,but I already have 2 extra 3rd row benches. So I may as well get the mounts for a bench.

Seen this on YouTube and facebook groups. I got some shit because I said I'd be worried about kids sitting that close to possible shattering rear window in a collision. They said its the same as the 3rd row in a Tahoe, but all the videos and pics I saw the headrest actually rested on the rear window and thats a bit of an issue if the kiddos might be large enough to have their head reach the headrest. I dunno maybe I am being too cautious

it can be done, but it is not legal now, it is a fed offense to mod seat belt mounting which you will need to do for upper mounts. the tahoe and sub seats are different, the sub seat would be a easier mount as 1 piece, also I would not do rear facing due to making seat belts work in a accident
