That would work. Not sure where they make those but I imagine they'd be fine. A junkyard may have some too. Manifolds also used to be all over craigslist where I live. I think people upgrade to headers and don't know what to do with the old manifolds.

I think those are sheet metal screws? Your hardware store should carry them.

So new manifolds are here. Having an issue with the studs though, they never seem to bottom out? I can just keep spinning and spinning. There should be a raised section right? The part that should be raised seems to be recessed. Im wondering, did I try to give them too much torque putting them on and squish the hardware? Very frustrated at this point, and I did order some better stainless studs that'll be here Tuesday. Just not sure why these didn't work.

Heres a video of my issue:

Those studs should be bloated out bigger than the diameter of the threads which would prevent the studs from going all the way in past the shoulder part of the stud. The manifold's exhaust downpipe flange are typically threaded all the way through.

That's what I figured. What pieces of crap those studs are! I ordered another dorman set, stainless this time.

You can see from the pictures these clearly seem to stick out past the threads at the "stops"

This time I'm literally going finger tight until it stops then giving it another 16th of a turn with a ratchet. Don't want to over tighten the studs.

Well folks... New manifolds are in, not pleased. The tick still persists. I did originally put new bolts on the passenger side, but when I fought and fought to get the driver side lined up I said screw it I'm converting to studs, and that's what I did. Only thing is, I had to remove the bolts from the passenger side to install studs, which meant I reused the new MLS gasket(it hadn't run on it). And well, I'm not sure if the tick is exhaust leaking from the MLS gasket, which didn't reseal the second time or if I'm chasing my own tail, and it's a lifter ticking this whole time. Doesn't really sound like a lifter to me though? In the AM I'm going to hookup a shop vac to the tailpipe and spray some water on the manifold and see if it's leaking or not.

Here's the video folks:
