$5,540 up-charge for the Diesel

What i’m saying maybe they’re adding packages as part of the diesel option.

Funny enough it’s the exact opposite. You can’t get most of the packages with the diesel including the air suspension or tech package.

Build out a 3.0 diesel and try adding any package, it makes you go back to a 5.3

In that case. you can burn a lotta gasolina for $5K. i’d pick the 6.2

I guess thats better than the $12k cost for the cummins in the ram trucks.

Last time i played around with building a gm the diesel was cheaper than the 6.2, but that was a while ago.

WOW! When I bought my 2023 Suburban LS, the Diesel was just under a $1,000 option. That was a no brainier.

Adding the diesel force adds the Comfort Package and advanced trailering package vs both of those being an option with the 5.3. That's $2,725 of the increase, plus it adds the power second row bench seat for $370. So $3,095 are added packages and the diesel itself is a $2,445 up charge. Still a big price difference but not as bad as it seems.

I may have missed something else that gets added as well

Good to know. Annoyingly you cant add the air ride suspension or the tech package for the diesel (dont know why)

Playing around with the 2025 build configurator and it shows a $5,540 up charge for the diesel engine on the Z71.

On the build calculator for a Silverado ZR2, there is only a $1,965 up charge to the diesel.

Do we think the $5,540 Diesel motor premium is legit or will that come down in time? When using a fuel calculator, it would take over 7 years to recoup that cost compared to the 5.3!

In the refresh the diesels are being paired with super cruise...as the only way they can be optioned the price increase is from that pairing

It was around$9,000 for a Duramax in the heavy duty Silverados.
