Anyone know what would be involved in putting a 6.0l into a two door 97 tahoe. Im sure its doable but anyone have any specifics on what would have to modified also how would you make the ecm work? Im pretty sure these things had an electronic throttle how would you make it work. Anyways just kicking around the idea its either that or a new 350 long block or even a 383 any one have any suggestions about what would give more power but still be a decent daily driver.

I love the Gen III motors, but I honestly think its more work than what its worth. You would be better off with a 383 and a good injection system. The CPI on these trucks suck IMO, if you went with a good flowing multi port injection setup I think it would be a good power/fuel mileage combo
