I would never run a Jasper engine. They are not good like they used to be. You can get take-off LS3 valve springs for $80 I believe from Brian Tooley Racing. If you really wanted a new engine (and it would be reman not really new) get the GM engine because it at least has the 3 year warranty that can be used at any dealer in the country.

My .2 cents... If you don't intend on keeping the vehicle for any long period of time, why fix the oil leaks? A leaking oil pan gasket or rear main seal won't ever cause it to not run, but it'll be stinky eventually as the oil gets onto the exhaust. I'd say just fix the valve springs, wash the underside of it every few months, and save money

Got the rig back Tuesday evening. Happy she was running great. #1 valve spring replaced, cheap fix and an appointment to get the oil leak taken care of......
Towing the boat home today, heard a "pop" and lights came on again, tach quit working...I'm assuming I've got a short in my trailer lights and popped a fuse. My luck so far has been poop.

Update in case this helps anyone.
First, thanks to all that offered help, pretty cool bunch on this forum.
So the old girl is running fine but I did want to stop it leaving stains everywhere I went to took her back in. Mechanic said it looked like oil pan and cooler block off plate (seems like that’s pretty typical) replaced those and He said it was still leaking pretty bad, could be the rear main plate but didn’t look like the seal was the problem. He sent these this morning and it looks like I won’t be contaminating every parking spot anymore.
