Is this a decent Suspension lift kit? I'll have to get a dual cardinal style drive shaft correct? My truck rides extremely rough and while doing the lift I'll hopefully fix whats making it ride like it is. I've spent all my time with this truck working on the engine and finally installing another rebuilt 350 5.7 ,also by doing a lift like this should I invest in a new transmission? The original has 145K miles on it and its pretty rough and I'm thinking with the added lift it will stress it even more.

im not a fan of the tuff country lifts. and since you have autotrac, yes you will need a new drive shaft and exhuast mod. to clear the drive shaft. you dont need to invest in a new transmission, rebuilding a trans is more then adequate if your keeping the stock 5.7, also its not the lift that will strain it, its the tires that will put the added wear on it. i wouldnt bother doing anything with it until something goes wrong or fails on it, then decide what you wanna do with it, possibly rebuild with heavy duty clutches, rings, gaskets, shift kit, etc. count your blessings and keep moving :imo:. mine went out at 204,000.

I installed my superlift and love it, its strong, installs well, designed well, decently priced, etc. Cepek is the strongest 6" (6.5) kit out there imo. and you cant go wrong with BDS, they probably have the single best warranty out there, if anything breaks ever, they will replace it. even if you send in the part with mud and grass stuck to it. most kits dont warranty offroading abuse so thats a selling point, but they are expensive and limited dealers. Pro comp and rcx are common lifts as well, i have both pro comp and rcx parts on my lift and have no complaints.

feel free to ask people on here any ?'s they will always help out

how much are you looking to spend makes a difference? Dick cepek is a great lift for the OBS but cost a little more. Rough country great lift for the money most have had good things to say about it can be had for 1000, Procomp heard mixed reviews on them some love it some hate it cost right much. and like 99 said BDS you cant beat their warranty

I vote either Cepek, Superlift, or Pro Comp. I hear all good things about these lifts except Pro Comps customer service is ******. Here is a Cepek over on GMFS for $950 picked up. $300 off retail. I don't know how far you are from Michigan, but perhaps you can talk him into shipping it. It's like and hour and a half away from me but I can't afford it. http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=162732&highlight=cepek+lift

By the way, I like the color scheme of your Hoe.

I like the uh.....Cepek. Tough as nails so far. I am far from kind to the truck somedays and no problems. It is a tall lift too, taller than any other 6" lift out there. You cab crank these to a healthy 8" or so. Plan on SS brake lines from and rear in case, the "Y" pipe mod to clear the shaft also.

Wow thanks for all the replies leaves me with something to think about, I'll look around for the best price. I think I'm gonna go with the Cepek or the BDS like a few of you have suggested I've always heard nothing but good things about these kits. I'll keep you updated. I've got a lot going on right now. And badbowtie thanks man I like it too I've never seen another two door with the same scheme as my truck. But the best color scheme I've ever seen on a 2 door hoe has to be bowtiefreak's.

Ha I'm rough on it man. So I'm not sure whats the difference in the stage 1 stage 2? More durable parts or more parts? Bigger shocks?
