Assuming is an Eaton style differential? From what I see it looks a lot like this,
8.5 diff tear down and rebuild

Love it thx... i am almost done with swapping in the temporary unit.. pardon my french but it is a butt ugly rusty mess.
Then as i have time i will rebuild the original one

Just wish it had thr posi too :/
Curious, i dont have any red thread locker
.. just the blue, i need to put the pin back in on the diff and close it up so i can add fluid. But i dont want that housing pin to work its way out. Everybody says use red permanent lock.. i guess i have to make a special trip to buy the red thread lock :/

I just went ahead with the blue thread locker, I found a bunch of people online who were using it. I'll post if my spider gear retainer pin falls out lol

Hey thanks, runs waaaaaaaaay quieter now lol i need to rebuild the posi tho and swap the original back in. Well first gind a few dollars tho. When i do i will post how i did it
