The vette servo firms up the 1-2 shift and helps with overall longevity of the transmission. It's a 14.99 part, you really can't afford to not have it. Just my .02

Hind sight being 20/20 I'd go exhaust, CAI, servo, BB Tune, electric fans, switch over all fluids to full synthetic. Lowering is my first choice but you might not be looking to do that so I went with performance.

You'll want a tune once you get all the performance stuff done so your truck runs like it should. I felt almost as much as a difference with e-fans as I did with the tune but actually you'll need the tune before you put the efans in so Justin can turn on your fan PINs. You could get that done a a dealership but it will cost you extra and it your going to get a tune anyway it will not effect it one way or another if you do the fans after.

$900
Exhaust $200-$300
CAI $60(DIY)-$250+ depending on which route you go- easy DIY
Servo $20(delivered)-DIY install free/Shop $25-up to a few hundo I've
heard people on here get quoted/DIY it's easy
BB Tune $300 (I think) + $350(deposits that you'll get back)
E-Fans $100-$300 +$105 (I think for cable and pulley) easy DIY
Switching oil, trans, diff to RP(full synthetic fluid) $150-$250

Lowering. I did mine for about $450 but I found a full McGaughy's 3/5 kit for $350 and then the shocks were $100 and I lowered it myself. On average your looking at $700-$1000 if you don't get a smokin' deal on a kit and you have someone else do the work.

IMO key to getting the most out of your scrilla is don't get the "GET IT NOW" sickness. If you take your time and look on ebay and craigslist for the parts until they come up on the cheap you can get almost everything done folks have mentioned. If you are in a hurry and buy shit at full retail and go to a shop you'll only come out with a few things...

Sounds like a good idea to me, Didnt your dad buy you the tahoe? If so take your winnings and run. Enjoy the tahoe stock for now and just bank some money away. Always have to be prepared, Money in the bank for that sudden rear end failure, or transmission failure, etc.

Are you paying insurance yourself? $900 could almost pay it off for the year. What i do every year is take out a loan with my bank, for $1600 and pay my insurance in full off the bat, Then the payments for my 12 month loan end up being cheaper than my actual insurance payments. And in this process im actually building credit up. Without credit you cant do anything Imo.

how is the loan you take out for your insurance cheaper than the actual insurance payment?

My insurance is cheaper if I pay a whole 6 months or year at once. Not sure it's enough cheaper to off-set the interest on a loan, but it is a little less then if I go monthly.

For all you single guys out there, get car and home/renter insurance. You pay a couple hundred per year for the renter insurance but get a multi-line discount which for me added up to a whole lot less money in car insurance itself. It was actually cheaper to get two policies then one. Go figure.

Then I got married. It's still cheaper for insurance, but everything else is more expensive....lol.
