Scooby it is possible but the tail piece and yoke have to be changed for other parts as well as the vehicle speed sensor is relocated as well. I dont think the converter has to be messed with but I did not looked that up to verify.

that's correct, in order to use a 2wd trans in a 4x4, you need to change the output shaft and tail housing. To replace the output shaft, you basically have to dissasemble the trans.

I'd keep looking for a 4wd trans

Ive found a 4 wheel drive 4l60 from a 2000 Trailblazer. Does anyone know if this will work in mine?
