Hi….I have a 1997 Tahoe LT 4x4, 4 door and I want to raise it for overlanding. I’d like to go 6” and a 1.5” body lift but then I read about suspension only lifts, spindles spacers etc. so what is the real deal. I don’t want just a body lift, I want a real
lift so can anyone guide me where I can find a kit and do the kits contain raised spindles or is that another additional way of lifting. I don’t mind adding the extended travel CD axles to avoid any binding or pre-mature wearing out or worse failing all together on a trip far off road. I’ve read to stay away from anything “Rough Country” so I’m hoping you guys have some direction for me. I’ve had this Tahoe from new and it’s got well under 100k miles. It’s worth the cost of doing it right. Also I’m not a kid, early 60’s and enjoy wrenching and welding……someone please give me some direction…
