So you have everything figured out and it's good to go?

Everything is good to go besides the fuel gauge. I won't know about that until I get the software and get into the PCM to see what is in there as far as parameters. Maybe the scale is off and since I'm sitting at a little over 1/8 tank, it's not reading. That's why I'm gonna go fill it up and see if anything changes. Too tired to do anything this morning but tonight before work I'll get out there and seal up tank and go fill it up.

Tank is full and not leaking so that's good to go. Did a little vehicle shopping the past few days. I really liked this Escalade but she doesn't. She wants the same vehicle but with GMC badges instead of the Cadillac. This one has 54k on the clock and with her car and a down payment I can get it for $23. I might just go get it and she'll learn to love it I'm sure. Have some expenses coming up with son needing braces and I found a trans that's attached to a Duramax that I might buy this weekend. I want the Dmax to build for my 2500hd. That'll be on back burner but the price is right and I'll get a 4L80 with 30k miles, all I'll have to do is buy a converter, change the output shaft and install it. Hopefully everything works itself out and most importantly I get this Denali in for tuning.

Wish I could get away with buying her an 02-06, much simpler to work on. Don't think I can talk her into going older than what she has. She's only got 80k on her '07. She thinks 54k isn't low enough for miles. She doesn't have to make the payment so she doesn't even look at price. Keeps showing me '14 Denalis and I just laugh when I see what they want for them.

Gotta let her know how these trucks run forever and they just start to get broken in at 100,000 miles. And you've heard that newer then 06 are junks that constantly break down! Lol, not true, but a little white lie won't hurt, especially your pocket.

If you get a Denali or Esky that's AWD pay attention to the front diff if they fluid wasn't changed regularly or even if it was the AWD diffs are pretty common to go and it's not a cheap fix

I might have to try this.

Yeah, seen this plenty of times. Lot of bearing failures. Easy to pull apart and fix, bearings are like $60 a piece but you better catch it early. I've pulled front diff from a friends '02 Denali and we took outer CV shaft and installed into hub bearings to keep preload on bearings and he drove it that way until I put diff back together. IIRC, I think part of the front drive shaft was stuck into transfercase too, or he sealed it off with something. But it worked. Haha

Can you say solid axle Escalade?
