Started pinout on connectors. I only got one done tonight and that's all I could do. I've been sick the past 2 days and I was tired of just laying around so I got as much done as I could.

It's looking good. Feel better man. That's how my build got out of hand too, one thing being replaced leads to something else needing to be replaced because you're already in there so you might as well! Lol, just the nature of the beast for us car guys I guess. That's what caused me to spend an extra $5000-$6000! It sure does add up, FAST TOO!!!

Both connectors are done. Pretty straight forward swap. No surprises, just a few wires that didn't seem to cross reference but I got it figured out. Added wires for cooling fans that I still need to install relays for but that's easy enough.

Tried to remove EGR tube, yeah that didn't go so well. Broke the nipple off the header. So now I'm debating what I wanna do here. Won't go into detail because I'm not sure what direction I wanna go yet. But I can say I can easily remove header and weld it so that may be my best option. Quick and easy.

Sourcing a FPR right now. Thinking I might just gut the stock regulator and use an external so I can lower my fuel pressure. The 36lb injectors are a little big for what I have at the moment. I could have ordered 30lb units but I'll need the fuel in the near future. Injectors are rated at 43.5PSI and if I stay with 58PSI these engines run stock that'll put me at just under 42lb on the 36lb injectors. So by running an external FPR, I can adjust down to 40PSI and be right at 35lb which is still more than I really need. I'll data log it and see how it looks. If I have to step down because I can't take fuel away in the long term fuel trim or pulse width then so be it. At least I'll have these 36lb units for later.

Picking up PCM in morning but I still need to gather more parts.

PCM is done, in and wiring tucked up.

I think I'm gonna make a new bracket to secure the PCM to. This one sits in there nice but I don't like any concepts I came up with to secure it. A new bracket would be better. I will come up with something soon, have a few sketches and ideas. Shouldn't take but an hour to make.

When I picked up PCM I was talking with Jeff (LEXTECH) and I gotta say, the guy is very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He emails spreadsheets to people everyday all day and doesn't charge a dime for all his homework. Anyone looking to do a 0411 PCM swap, he's the guy you'll be pointed toward. I'm just fortunate enough to be local to him. I had most wiring figured out and cross referenced but his spreadsheet set me straight on a few details I was unsure about. Not that he'd be reading this but a big shout out to him, I gotta give credit where credit is due.

Didn't do much after finishing up wiring. I didn't get any sleep Sunday and worked all night so anything I tried to do was taking 3x as long so. Gave up and stuffed some food down my throat and headed off to bed. I'll be back at it in morning.

Good job, looks great. Can't wait til you're done! Bet you can't either.

You bet I can't. I called my machine shop and talked with him for about an hour. Kinda just ran things past him and he nicely knocked me off my high horse. Long story short, wanted to sell him my E-tech 170 heads and buy some 200's. Told him I'm changing cams (226 - 230 deg) and possibly bolting on an S475. Told me the smaller runners and valves in the 170's will give me better throttle response and the S475 is more toward a higher RPM and is in the 800-1000hp range, would be laggy on my engine. Told me stay with a smaller exhaust housing to spool quicker like a T70. Has an engine in there right now that makes 468hp/443tq on engine and is 600ish with turbo. Pretty close to my setup besides rockers, cam and running a blow thru 750 carb. Said I should get to roughly 550rwhp on 9.5:1 comp, pump gas, single turbo with .96 exhaust A/R. So he's gonna work my heads a little and swap out springs for me. Now I have to pull heads off. I'll start on that this morning.

Also waiting for electric fans to get here, in the mail. Still haven't pulled the trigger on a cam, regulator, and wide band oxygen sensor. I need to make up my mind on these things and get them coming. In the meantime I'm still tearing down and have to make that bracket and weld bung in header for sensor. I'm eyeballing a new timing cover which I'm gonna have to replace anyway, but $450 for a billet cover is crazy. Only good thing is I know it will seal (look at above pic and you can see the oil leak on front of engine) and it allows enough room to run a double roller. But $450? I still need to replace input on transfercase to swap in 4L80, get drive shafts lengthened and shortened, get custom torque convertor made (4L80 has 6 bolt convertor), and get parts for brakes for 14 bolt along with new u-bolts. Damn, now that I see all that I'm feeling broke and overwhelmed. Might start a go fund me page. Anyone? [crickets] Yeah that's what I thought.

Oh yeah, this morning I had to run and get license plate stickers for the wardens Equinox and this Denali and on the way home I swung by Winners Circle speed shop to see what they had for regulators and to talk to the owner Jim but he wasn't there. I thought they were a little high on their regulators but I did walk out of there with a new set of wires. The ones on there aren't bad but I need everything to be top notch as far as maintenance goes for tuning. I'm still not sure if I'm gonna have it tuned on dyno at StraightLine Performance or I'm gonna do my best to street tune it. Either way I have to buy the tuning software, dyno is just gonna add to the cost. Double it really. It's only money right?

One thing at a time, right? Can't get overwhelmed. Happened to me too. I heard MSD's aren't that great, along with accel's , and all that other over rated, over priced stuff. Heard that Taylor's are top notch. Beat out all the other wires. Those are what I'm gonna get for the Hoe. You're slowly getting there my friend! :happy107:
