well when i go mudding and need to reverse it bogs down. not losing rpms or anything it just has no power and it stays at a certin rpm. put it to the floor no change. in drive it does the same until you get on it then its not that bad. im thinking it has to do with the gears? 3:42 on 33

unknown at this time.
you reverse gear ration is probably playing the biggest role in that although 3.42 gearing may not be helpful either.

you only get one reverse gear ratio unless you kick in the low t-case gear.

33's, 3.42's and mud. You do not have enough gear for the tires as is, and when you throw mud into the equation, it only makes it worse. Needs more gear IMO

I had 3.73's in my Tahoe with 33's and thought that I did not have enough gear. Mine would bog sometimes if I got into something deep or when climbing rocks

gears i think are to blame here you have to equate the weight of the mud itself soupy mud acts as a suction on your tires thus slowing it down slap 4.56 under that bad boy and hold on the engine doesnt have anything to do with it as v-8 provde enough torque , take a lesson from a 4cly jeep with 35 or greater tires all they do is regear
