well i dont want it back to stock... hahah i cant stand this sluggish / no power. thats why im saving up for some 4:56s to get put in for a steep 1500..

1500 is not bad for a gear install. But here's the other factor, the rear axle it's self (10 bolt) is crap to start with. Have you looked at swapping to a 14bsf at all?

Well im not all that into conpletely changing the rear axle... But is it hard?

I was not suggesting you do I merely pointed out what you would need to return to the original performance level of truck before all the changes took place and what to expect.

Not sure on how much automotive experience you have, but it takes some knowledge to be honest. It's not complicated, but it's not easy either. A regear on the 10 bolt would be fine for the most part. But, remember there is a good chance it could also become a weak link in your rig
