want 3" of height and I know body lifts are a pain to install and expensive to pay someone else to do, im not a hardcore off roader but wanna upgrade my 17: wheels wrapped in 265/70/17 tires to maybe some 20's with a lower profile(not skinny) nitto mud grappler or similar. So, are there 3" torsion keys available? I know they make 3" blocks but whats the best place to order quality keys/blocks? and are keys safer than doing a T T? A BL is a last option but I just wanna more agressive looking rig...I've posted 2 pics of my Yukon along with a pic that shows an idea idea of what I want mine to look like. One more thing, are there lesser expensive tires that are similar to the ones pictured with agressive sidewall tread? Most are like 3-400 per tire. Thanks in advance for any and all help

Bigger wheels=higher price for the tire. I would try craigslist if you are on a budget and need tires. The ones in the picture are nitto mud grapplers. Treadwright maked retreads for a good price, you can try looking on their website.

Body lifts aren't that hard to install, but I've never done one on a tahoe before. I wouldn't recommend a 3" suspension lift. You could compromise and put a 1.5 or 2" body lift with a 1.5" torsion bar crank resulting in a 3-3.5" lift overall.

Agreed. Do not buys keys though, crank the stockers. A body lift is a decent alternative

After market keys for OBS trucks do nothing - you can crank to the bumpstops with the stockers, and if you can't that means your torsion bars are sagging.

Now, you don't want to do that, as cranking that much will absolutely eat your front end alive and your Yukon will ride like a brick being dragged on the highway. Bumpstops are literally bump stops - when you crank to them the suspension has NO droop left at all, so you go over a hole, and the vehicle goes down, not just the wheel.

Hmmm, so what are you suggesting?

Of the two choices, 3" body lift. Best option is a 6" lift of course.

However...you could crank the torsion bars an inch, add a 2" body lift, and 1" blocks out back. Would look better than a 3" body lift and wouldn't be as ******* your front end as cranking to the max.

Guys I've decided to with a 3" BL, found a shop to install for $500 and that includes custom rear bumper brackets, is that fair? I'm still searching for better quotes

A body lift is only about $100 right? The install is obviously all labor as the kits typicvally comew with the bumper brackets or so I thought

You can get a 3" BL for $144 on Summit right now, the rear brackets are another $79.
