why leave the obs :( seems everyone is now

i just put ones from a 1500. the 4dr tahoe for whatever reason are 52" while all the rest are 54". my stock bars were sagged and couldnt crank to level

I just don't have time or funds to build 2 vehicles. I had to either have a reliable newer less miles daily driver or a toy with almost 200k. Plus, I love this HD. It's almost perfect for me. The crew cab is much nicer than trying to shove people into the back of my 2 door.

Thankfully, my 2 door is still in my family. So it's not like I sold it off to a random buyer. Once I have my own home, I'd like to buy either another OBS or an OOBS.

He swapped in truck t-bars from a 2500 OBS I believe.

If I were to lift a OBS truck on a budget, I'd just crank my bars, blocks and body lift it. This coming from someone who owned a OBS with a Superlift 6inch.

Also, invest in some good shocks. Your ride quality will suck with cranked t-bars, and rear blocks. Bilstein 5100's are a good choice. Wish I would have spent the money on them on mine.

You mean the Bilstein 5100' for the rear? Or the front? Lifted trucks and big tires is a new thing to me, wanting a change from huge SUV's with 24-26" rims and rubber-band tires, Im ready for something that doesnt have to tippy toe over speed bumps lol.

I'd just put them in all 4 corners lol. I always tip toe'd over speed bumps in my 2 door. My Rough Country shocks sucked
