recently my Yuke's ABS starting going off intermittently as I come to a stop... usually riiiight before the vehicle comes to a hault. Or, if Im backing out of my driveway, and brake. Its anoyying as hell. Is this a common problem with an easy fix? I will be under the truck soon doing some suspension work so I wanna nip this problem in the bud. :shooter:

Nope, surprisingly no dash light. I was planning on cleaning and inspecting. These are still the style where it's a gear type disc with a bunch of teeth and the sensor that reads it right?
That's the only one I'm familiar with.

BUMP!!!

anyone have any insight here? I rammed into a parked Caravan as I was pulling into a parking spot the other day!! (because of the ABS) I tracked down the owner and luckily he was cool, "ohhhh dont worry, Im giving this to my grand daughter anyways, it will be taking some abuse".

LOL

GM has a bulletin about low speed ABS coming on and it involves cleaning the ABS sensors at the wheel where they mount in the bearing hub.

My 2001 Tahoe had that Problem but My ABS Light came on a couple of years ago and the brakes worked fine unless that ABS light went out then I couldn't stop for Shit. Replace You wheel speed sensors in front they are $48 a piece and its should be done. if that doesn't fix it, Then it could be one of two things the ABS Pump dohicky or the ABS module. Both of those items are mounted together on the inside of the driverside frame rail. I have Replaced Both of those and my Wheel speed sensor. Mine Works great now.

I Hope that this helps.

is Yours a 2000-2002? if so there is a TSB on the Brakes for those.
