Why would you want to do that? The GM auto headlights work great.

put a resistor inline for the headlight sensor to make the truck think its daylight all the time. google it if need be.

i dont see why u want to, it has a way to override the auto headlights anyway...

another solution i just googled was on an LS1 forum (assume gm would be same as gm) and they said unplug the sensor and insert a wire or cotter pin to close the circuit....i guess same idea as the resistor..

I would love to be able to turn them up......sometimes I get to work early and the gate isnt open yet. So we all line up on the street (residential area) shut our lites off and wait. Except me, no way unless I turn the car off. Another time when I need the lites off is when .......actually I would rather not post this online. :)

I guess you have an older one. Don't they turn off when you put the park brake on?

I have a 2000 Escalade which is the same as 1999 tahoe/escalade. Parking brake huh! Never tried.

The parking brake won't shut the lights off once they are turned on...it just keeps them from coming on when you first start the car until you release it. You can push the dome override button 4 or 5 times to kill the lights IIRC...
