Looking to add a light bar, the very bright LED style, but do not want to put it outside of the Tahoe as I'm looking to keep everything stock. Is it possible to mount it behind the grill? I know it won't hit peak output as some will be reflected off of the grill but would like something to light up the back roads I take home after work to get a jump start on a deer crossing the road.

i have four 2"x4" leds behind the denali honeycomb grill and they actually put out more than i thought they would. i imagine with anything 12" or bigger would do the job

I added a 12" white/amber light bar. still working on a custom mesh for the surrounding area. i removed the grill cause the PO broke off a few clips, so it was a bit loose, and i didnt like the look of it to begin with

and the bumper is purely temporary until spring when i'll make a custom one

if you've got the center cutout in your lower valence, a 21" bar fits perfectly in there, and you can use the stock bumper bolts to mount it. It's still visible behind the grill, and I honestly think it looks more stock and cleaner in the valence. Mine is a single-row bar, but a 2-row should fit okay, too.

Put it under the front bumper. It looks great and light down close to the road shows you undulations that a higher mounted light won't.
