I have a 2007 Tahoe LTZ w/ Bose, Navi, rear DVD, etc. I just picked up two Fosgate R2SD2 12s and a 1200-1D amp. Can I add the amp/subs and keep the OEM head unit?? I do not want to replace it. I just want to add more bass.

Thanks Bruizza. where will I tap the remote into at the sub?

I ran remote from under the hood on a 12V switched. There's also the same under the dash (I didn't know at the time). It's a pink wire and it's from a post on gmfullsize is about all I remember.

Remote I am not 100% sure on. Been a few years since I installed one of those in my old Yukon. I feel like the line output converter had a spot for it but you could go with vt_hokie's suggestion.

Thanks again guys... did y'all leave the bose sub hooked up? I have been reading a lot on this (I think I'm more confused now) and some people said that they blew the little bose sub from turning up the stereo too much. I think I would remove most of the bass from the eq on the h/u and just use the subs for bass. did y'all have the same issue with the bose sub or did you leave/remove it?

I left it hooked up. It's been fine for 3 years now.

Let me know when you find out where you run your power wire from the battery.

I have looked all over the place and can not find a spot to get the wire into the cab.

I'd unplug the Bose sub. No need for another source of interference.

I bought an adapter to get GM RAP power in my '10. I needed it for other reasons though. There may be a retained accessory power lead somewhere that someone knows about.
