Given It only gets worked a couple times a year if I drive in snow I figured the bearings would be fine. It turned nice and smooth and looked good inside. I needed to get back on the road. It’s a “run to fail” program now.I watched the youtube video last night on the rebuild of the front axle.
Didn't look too bad.
SouthMain Auto also had a vid a while back of a gm front axle setup (iirc).
covered the pinion adjustment a bit, was a good watch.
I did a rear axle in my S10, but i just went with new bearings for the carrier, pinion, and axles.
So easy to just keep everything as is and rolled the dice.
No exploding, and put a good 60-80k on it after.
I might have been tempted to replace the bearings while it was apart, but good job!
