i am dealing with the gauge cluster issue that many have probably had or will have. Every year when it gets cold my gauges stop working. But this year they have only come back on a few times since its warmed up. Thats fine, i am dealing with it. Check my fluids regular and all.balso use a Bluetooth OBD ll
But, i am getting tired of using a phone app to keep track of my Gas consumption
Has anyone here put on an aftermarket fuel gauge?
If so can you recommend one?

Mine had a dead prnd12 and dead stepper motors with blown lights. Sent it off to be rebuild for 150 with custom led's. Working like new now.

Thanks for the pic Erikk
I will eventually do that exact rebuild to my own.
But i am looking for a stopgap in the meantime. I am hoping i can throw in a cheapo gas gauge for now.
Problem is i dont know if it’s possible. Maybe someone has done this....

You could also get a used cluster from a salvage yard in the meantime, it wont have the correct miles, but it'll do the trick.

Location
SW Louisiana (originally) and DFW area presently
I replaced the stepper motor in my truck. I watched the Youtube video and then did it in less than 30 minutes. The part is $7 for the Stepper motor. I had the soldering iron, but ordered an inexpensive solder sucker. Was not bad at all. Having a dental pick is nice for unsnapping the plastic clips to separate the cluster

Cajun,
I assume you were having the same issue?
Did you replace all the motors? Or just the fuel?
