Not sure, I just heard that the prep of fiberglass is different and more involved than regular steel hoods, different surface material and all that. Not sure about that though, anyone involved in paint care to clarify? I'd be interested to know if there's any differences between painting steel vs. fiberglass.

Nope, nothing different when painting fiberglass.. Just make sure its blocked good. Nothing worse than a wavy paint job, and with fiberglass its more noticeable than metal. But same prep.

In case you didn't see my thread my truck is in my avatar with NOT the keystone hood but a Cervinis ram air. I personally compared the two hoods side by side and the Cervinis is built stronger and with better craftsmanship then the keystone. I found my hood at latemodelrestoration with the cheapest price but, cervinis had to ship it to Texas to them and from them to me, 3 weeks turn around. I called Cervinis and they price matched and sent it directly to me. This hood is ****. It's fiberglass but the finish is awesome. Shop that painted had No fiberglass repair needed, just prep and paint. Even came with the hood latch and hinge attachment.
