I have to apologize ahead of time for this rant, lol. Sooo I bring in my 45,000 mi. 2012 LTZ for service 4 days ago for a "Check Suspension System" warning on the dash. First thing the service writer says is that there's a $290 "diagnostic fee" to look at the truck. If it's something that's not covered I have to pay it!
He then tells me it could be an oxygen sensor or a MAF sensor and that it doesn't have to be in the suspension??? Then he tells me struts and bearings and other wear and tear items aren't covered. WTF I think he needs to look at what isn't covered according to the GMPP Major Guard contract! So they have the truck three days and they still haven't looked at it. I waited a month for an appointment so I could get a loaner car from them, which I returned after one day due to the fact it was filthy, not just dirty but it smelled like a family of 8 lived in it for a month and the seats were so stained that it grossed me out to sit on them literally.
I go in there yesterday and speak to the service manager and tell him I want my truck back and i'll take it to another dealer. He's an awfully nice guy and apologized up and down and begged me to leave it one more day, there wouldn't be a diagnostic charge and he'd stay on top of it. Shame is I've bought about a dozen SUV's and cars from that dealership in the last 10 years or so. They were recently bought by another chevy dealer that owns other Chevy stores. When they were small I had a great relationship with them. Now I'm Joe Shmo, just another customer. They lost me as a customer after this. Thanks I feel better now!
