Air Cleaner???

So I was just looking online at air cleaners for my 2008 Tahoe LT 4x4 5.3 and I keep seeing multiple options for “with high capacity air cleaner” and “without high capacity air cleaner”. How do you tell which air intake box you have? I could look at the part number of the existing air cleaner but who is to say they used the correct filter? What brand and part number are you guys using? I’m just looking for a good quality filter. Not interested in oiling a foam or gauze style filter. Thanks for the help

It's not worded right. The same airbox is used for the regular air filter and the high capacity ones.

I run the A3085C in my trucks, that is the K47 filter, twice the depth of the stock filter.

If you live in fire prone areas, Wix sells a fire retardant version, 42488FR.

Thanks for the reply. So if the box is the same, what was the option? Just the filter itself is deeper? Is there any disadvantage to running the larger filter?

No disadvantage to running the deeper filter. There's more surface area to breathe through, so in theory it will breathe easier and stay cleaner longer.
